I tipi che vivevano prima dove io vivo adesso erano dei patiti del tassello. Devi mettere una mensola? 4 buchi da 9 mm e tasselli da calcestruzzo nel mattone che tanto se esplode vuol solo dire che una volta versato il cemento tiene di più. L'armadio non sta ben attaccatto al muro (ovviamente il muro è storto)? 6 tasselli in alto e 6 a metà, che ti piego la schiena all'armadio e lo metto in ginocchio e voglio vedere se non si appiccica al muro. Il telefono! 4 tasselli! La doccia! 12 tasselli!

Dalla posizione dei tasselli da 8 capivi come avevano sistemato i quadri in salotto. Dalla quantità di stucco usata capisci che, o avevano 200 quadri molto piccoli o usavano 12 tasselli a quadro. Quando sarebbero bastati due chiodini...

Per mesi mi son chiesto perché. Oggi finalmente ho capito. Qualcuno ha regalato loro un trapano da piccoli.

La musica che spara fuori dalle casse di dido. Le gente che si droga di computer e giroscopi. La cosa più importante è che ho scoperto quanto sia idiota usare un lucchetto od una serratura. Se ho imparato ad aprirli io... :) [arh arh arh. il mondo è mio...]

Il vecchio ASUS S1 è morto. Fortuna che, ancora in garanzia, una volta riparato potrò usarlo come backup. Intanto ho comprato (dopo lunghe elucubrazioni) un bellissimo SONY vaio PCG-505AP. Capolavoro. Bellissimo. Orgasmico.

Dopo molte bestemmie, funziona tutto. Anche l'accellerazione 3D, che mi ha fatto penare non poco. Chi avesse lo stesso problema con una scheda Radeon Mobility M6 LY può fare come segue:

  1. Installare XFree86 4.3 dai pacchetti non ufficiali in debian
  2. Installare il pacchetto drm-trunk-module-src
  3. Configurare nel kernel il supporto per MTRR, AGP e DRM ma non configurare alcun modulo DRM (solo il supporto in pratica)
  4. make-kpkg --revision lana.1 kernel_image
  5. make-kpkg modules_image
  6. Installare i due deb, quello del kernel e quello dei moduli drm
  7. Installare i pacchetti xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk e xlibmesa-gl1-dri-trunk
  8. Godere dell'accellerazione grafica
Ovviamente lana in (4) è il nome del mio laptop...

Chiaccherato con inapt in IRC. Presto potrebbe succedere qualcosa di rarissimo nel mondo del software libero. Una cosa a cui ho assistito una sola volta ed è finita male... Si, potete cercare di indovinare e si, il premio è il solito: frittelle di mele alla cannella (fatte da me) e porto.

Gardaland è semplicemente divertente. Forse non divertente quanto Disney Resort, ma decisamente divertente. Per entrambi basta ricordare di essere bambini. (Ricordare di esserlo stati invece non basta.)

Ieri sera cena con la comunità italiana di Maputo (sempre Mozambico per chi non fosse a conoscenza delle mia avventura africane). Gente dell'ambasciata, gente che parla inglese, gente che parla italiano. Stasera cena in albergo prima di fare le valige, con lídea di lavorare tutta la sera ed arrivare in Italia con il mio report di fine missione terminato e pronto per la consegna. Delle due, certamente meglio ieri sera. :)
